Dark Regions is very proud to announce this December two more extraordinary supernatural horror collections: "Quill and Candle" by Scott Thomas is the second book in the Ghost House Imprint. This wonderful collection is concerned with the subtle, but fascinating ghost stories set in New England, and written with Scott Thomas' unique, poetic, and descriptive voice. Cover art and stock full of interior art by Erin Wells. Erin did just a beautiful job on this second Ghost House book! The second book: "The Impossible Casebook of Sherlock Holmes" by Daniel McGachey is an excellent pastiche of the immortal character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. What makes this book special is Dan's unique literary style, complex and intricate plots, excellent dialogue, and keeping the Holmes and Watson characters true. To me, it was quite reminiscent of Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes from the Granada television series. Very nice cover art by Wayne Miller. To tell you the truth, I am not sure which book I am more excited to publish, and quite frankly, these are two of the publisher's favorite books of the year.

Richard Gavin has just informed Dark Regions that he is writing thirteen individual vignettes in long hand with a fountain pen and on a sheet of very fine (and suitably creepy) stationary which will be signed and numbered by the author and then rolled up scroll style with a black ribbon. Each scroll will be included with the Deluxe thirteen editions of "The Darkly Splendid Realm". The deluxe edition of "The Darkly Splendid Realm" is almost sold out. If you want a copy you had better order now!

(9/01/09): Fall is here at last! Dark Regions has many exciting announcements coming up in this Halloween season. I am sure you have seen our two latest horror books additions for preorder, "Thought Forms" by Jeffrey Thomas his first horror novel with Dark Regions Press, and the fourth book in the New Voices of Horror series "Undertow and Other Laments" by Michael Kelly. Cover and interior art by Jason Whitley. This collection is the biggest of the bunch and contains twenty stories in the deluxe edition (There are only thirteen deluxe editions available, and you had better order your copy now because the deluxe is almost sold out!), and the signed and limited edition has eighteen stories! The collectors will be happy to note that the New Voices of Horror series will be continuing with four more volumes next year! I am also very pleased to announce that "The Darkly Splendid Realm" by Richard Gavin will be going up for preorder this September as well which is an excellent weird fiction collection with a Harry O. Morris cover, and an introduction by Laird Barron. The excitement continues with another brand new novel from Jeffrey Thomas: "The Fall of Hades." That's right. This is the sequel to that excellent novel "Letters From Hades" by Jeffrey Thomas. Dark Regions is very proud to be publishing this important book from this well respected author. "The Fall of Hades" will sport a beautiful full color cover from Frank Walls. There will be an A-Z lettered edition, and of course the signed and limited edition. (07/22/09): The website has been optimized! It should load significantly faster now. Also, the bios for authors Michael Kelly, Gord Rollo, Steven Saville and David B. Silva have been added to the authors page. Artist Jason Whitley's bio has also been added to the authors page while Charlee Jacob, Stephen Mark Rainey, Wayne Miller and G.O. Clark bios have been updated. Finally, a reported problem with adding "Strange Vegetables" to a Horror-Mall cart has been fixed.
