Production Updates

As mentioned in the Chiral Mad 3 update, this is another volume that had to be reshuffled due to a binder closing down. We are happy to report that our other binder will start work on The Children of Gla'aki soon after they are done with Chiral Mad 3, and we also expect this deluxe to be shipping by Summer 2019. Thank you very much to everyone for your patience and we can't wait to get this deluxe into everyone's hands!

This volume was delayed significantly due to a printer/binder closing their doors and had to wait in line at another one of our binders, but we are happy to report binding work on this edition is about to begin! Giving 90 days for the binder to complete the books and slipcases, we anticipate Chiral Mad 3 deluxe to begin shipping Summer 2019 and greatly appreciate everyone's patience on this volume that was unfortunately delayed due to being moved to another production partner after another binder closed their doors. Watch for more updates as binding progresses on this edition!

We are still deep in our shipping marathon shipping out hundreds of copies of Richard Laymon's Funland Special Definitive Edition signed & numbered hardcover without slipcase. The slipcased numbered editions will begin shipping within 30 days of writing this update on March 8th and the deluxe signed and lettered traycased hardcover should be complete at the binder within 60-90 days. Also, we’ll begin preparing SLEEPING BEAUTIES orders for shipment in about five weeks.

We are very happy to let our customers know that Bird Box Special Edition by Josh Malerman Deluxe Signed & Lettered Traycased Hardcover is in our hands and it looks fantastic! We are currently prepping all orders for shipments and prepacking them very carefully. We expect shipments to start in the 2nd half of this month (March) and greatly appreciate your patience!

As you might remember, Stephen King graciously allowed us to add “The Glass Floor” and “Weeds” to our editions, which have never appeared in any edition of NIGHT SHIFT anywhere in the world.

Today, we’re very pleased to report that artist Chris Odgers was able to use the additional production time to draw three more illustrations for the book.

As we mentioned in the previous update, as soon as our printer is done with their work on SLEEPING BEAUTIES, we’ll be sending them NIGHT SHIFT. We’ll have a better idea of their schedule for printing and binding the book once we reach that point, and we will send you additional updates to keep you in the loop.

As of January 31, our case maker estimates the slipcases for the Gift Edition and the traycases for the Limited Edition will be completed by the end of March. Our printer should have all of the books printed and bound in early April, which means a late April publication date is looking likely for those two editions. For the Lettered Edition, we need a finished copy of that edition of the book for our traycase maker due to the type of case he is making, but we expect that edition to be completed this year as well.

We are happy to report that the Kickstarter-exclusive trade paperback edition of I AM THE ABYSS is on schedule to ship to campaign backers in March! The retail trade paperback edition will begin shipping within 60 days of the campaign-exclusive edition, and the deluxe signed & numbered slipcased hardcover within 60 days of the retail paperback. The oversized hand-bound specialty I AM GATEWAY traycased edition should be shipping within 90 days of the deluxe hardcovers because this edition will be hand-built by our specialty binder in New York who created the lettered editions of Clive Barker's The Midnight Meat Train and Clive Barker's The Body Book both published by Dark Regions Press. We greatly appreciate everyone's patience on this epic project and can't wait to hear feedback when folks finally hold the book in their hands! Watch for another update in March when the Kickstarter-exclusive paperback starts to ship.

We are happy to report that Bird Box Special Edition Deluxe Lettered Traycased Hardcover is complete! Due to hundreds of orders of Richard Laymon's Funland Special Definitive Edition and The Red Brain deluxe hardcover that still need to go out as of writing this, we expect preorders of this special deluxe edition to begin shipping in March. This is another limited edition hardcover that was affected by printer/binder closures in the past 24 months, but we are happy to let our customers know that printing on this edition should start within 60 days. As soon as the gears officially start turning we'll be posting another update. Please understand that our existing printers/binders have had to take on numerous projects that were previously assigned to a few companies that unfortunately went out of business in the last 24 months.. but we're doing all we can to get these projects out to our customers as soon as possible. Watch for another update when printing starts!

The Boke of the Divill was another volume that was in line with a printer/binder that unfortunately went out of business in 2018. We had to move this project to another printer/binder who is currently busy with other Dark Regions Press projects, but know that our customers are waiting patiently for this edition and we've asked them to do all they can to get started on this one as soon as possible. We'll be posting another update when production on this edition officially starts with the new printer/binder assigned to it and thank everyone for your continued patience.
