In preparation for an anticipated third invasion, children, including the novel's protagonist, Ender Wiggin, are trained at a very young age through increasingly difficult games including some in zero gravity, where Ender's tactical genius is revealed. Ender’s Game won the 1985 Nebula Award and the 1986 Hugo Award, both for best novel.

The book sizes are 6½ × 10 inches Both books are printed in two and four colors throughout and are cloth bound. Each copy is signed by Orson Scott Card, Brandon Mull, and David Ho. The edition is limited to 300 slipcased copies for sale.
