This is a very hard to find true 1984 first edition and first printing hardcover of Thinner by Stephen King writing as Richard Bachman with original dust jacket in around a Very Good Plus/Very Fine Minus condition -- has a couple of minor chips along the DJ edge in a couple of places and one small tear and crease spot on the back bottom of DJ. Book is straight and pages clean except for one "M" written on the inside front end paper. Price is $12.95 on the front flap and says "First Printing, November 1984" on the copyright page and has the number line: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. DJ in a plastic protective broadart sleeve.
Synopsis: After an old gypsy woman is killed by his car, attorney Billy Halleck is stricken with a flesh-wasting malady and must undertake a nightmarish journey to confront the forces. Last of the Bachman books before the world knew this fictition was actually Stephen King and more in his style than the rawness of earlier Bachman novels. A mesmerizing, metaphysical "revenge" tale that moves, and Halleck's race against time does keep the pages turning. In true SK fashion, no one is safe and everyone has their comeuppance in the end.
