The third book in the ongoing Black Labyrinth imprint from Dark Regions Press will be launching for preorder on Tuesday, July 12th 2016 exclusively on DarkRegions.com. Featuring ten novels/novellas from the masters of horror and dark fiction, each book in the Black Labyrinth imprint is illustrated by acclaimed surrealist artist Santiago Caruso and is edited by Chris Morey (I AM THE ABYSS).
Master horror author Ramsey Campbell brings us a frightening new psychological horror novella with The Booking, featuring five full color illustrations by Santiago Caruso. The Booking will be available for preorder in the three premium Black Labyrinth signed limited edition hardcover states: Flood Black (signed and numbered), Dark Mind (deluxe lettered) and Shadow Tome (ultra-deluxe 13). All customers that preorder hardcover editions will be given instant access to download a DRM-free copy of the ebook which will be released to the public several weeks later.
The three signed limited edition hardcover states of Black Labyrinth books are considered some of the finest produced by Dark Regions Press and are in high demand among our customers and collectors. Printed offset on acid free paper with Smyth sewn case binding and full color illustrations, Black Labyrinth hardcovers are bound in materials like genuine black cowhide and Shadow Tomes feature front-cover stampings in 14K gold. Black Labyrinth signed hardcover editions are limited to less than 500 copies worldwide per title.
Each book in the Black Labyrinth imprint is illustrated by world renowned artist Santiago Caruso from Argentina. He is a symbolist and surreal artist, with an avant-garde concept but rooted in the nineteenth century’s decadentism. Dedicated to the fantastique, metaphysical horror and poetry, the artwork of Caruso is well represented in galleries and museums of Buenos Aires, United States, United Kingdom, Mexico and Spain.
The Oxford Companion to English Literature describes Ramsey Campbell as “Britain’s most respected living horror writer”. He has been given more awards than any other writer in the field, including the Grand Master Award of the World Horror Convention, the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Horror Writers Association, the Living Legend Award of the International Horror Guild and the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2015 he was made an Honorary Fellow of Liverpool John Moores University for outstanding services to literature. Among his novels are The Face That Must Die, Incarnate, Midnight Sun, The Count of Eleven, Silent Children, The Darkest Part of the Woods, The Overnight, Secret Story, The Grin of the Dark, Thieving Fear, Creatures of the Pool, The Seven Days of Cain, Ghosts Know, The Kind Folk, Think Yourself Lucky and Thirteen Days by Sunset Beach. He is presently working on a trilogy, The Three Births of Daoloth. Needing Ghosts, The Last Revelation of Gla’aki, The Pretence and The Booking are novellas. His collections include Waking Nightmares, Alone with the Horrors, Ghosts and Grisly Things, Told by the Dead, Just Behind You and Holes for Faces, and his non-fiction is collected as Ramsey Campbell, Probably. His novels The Nameless and Pact of the Fathers have been filmed in Spain. His regular columns appear in Dead Reckonings and Video Watchdog. He is the President of the Society of Fantastic Films.
