Stephen King Revisited: Volume One
by Richard Chizmar

With historical context essays by Bev Vincent and guest essays by Brian Keene, Michael Koryta, Josh Boone, Ed Gorman, Chet Williamson, Kealan Patrick Burke, Stewart O’Nan, and many others!

About the Book:
The first volume in a massive new project unlike anything the horror and suspense publisher has undertaken in their thirty years in publishing!

Richard Chizmar has been re-reading all of Stephen King's books in the order of publication, and then writing down his memories from the first time he read the books decades ago and sharing his thoughts upon reading them again, often for the first time in many years.

"Like many longtime readers,” Chizmar explains, "I can chart the course of my life by when and where I read most of Stephen King's books. Re-reading Christine recently when writing an afterword for an anniversary edition a few years back was like traveling back to my youth in a time machine. I turned the pages, and I was a teenager again, carrying around a tattered, old paperback. Experiencing the novel for the first time. It felt like a kind of magic. And I wanted to do it again."

When Chizmar asked Stephen King what he thought of the idea of him re-reading all of the books in order, King replied, "go for it!"

For readers who are interested in behind the scenes information about Stephen King's unprecedented career, author Bev Vincent has contributed a historical context essay for each title, including insightful anecdotes about the writing and publication history of the book.

In addition, special guest contributors who are well known to Stephen King readers have provided their own take on the books. Some of the first guest contributors include Michael Koryta (author of So Cold the River and Those Who Wish to Kill Me), Josh Boone (director and writer of the films The Fault in Our Stars, Stuck in Love, and two forthcoming Stephen King projects, Lisey’s Story and The Stand), and Jack Ketchum (author of The Lost, The Woman, and I’m Not Sam).

Stephen King Revisited is an ongoing project, and Volume One covers Carrie through The Eyes of the Dragon.

About the Special Editions:
To celebrate this incredible publication, we're planning TWO special editions for our collectors!

In addition to the beautiful Trade Hardcover Edition, there will be a Limited Edition Hardcover signed by Richard Chizmar, Bev Vincent, and François Vaillancourt on a special illustrated signature page. This book will have a different binding and endpapers than the trade hardcover, and also one of our lowest print runs in years!

Our high-end collectors should take special note of the Lettered Edition because each copy will include an ORIGINAL PIECE OF ARTWORK bound into the book to make it unique, and no scene or character will be repeated for these original artwork pages, meaning each copy will truly be unique! This edition is traycased and signed by FOUR contributors, and we don't expect the available copies to last very long!
