Our biggest challenge in 2018 was product delays, partially caused by a couple of our printers/binders closing their doors. While we try to regularly post production updates, keeping our customers informed on the status of these preorder products is something we need to work on. We have heard your feedback loud and clear, and we'll be starting a new system in the next 30 days where we contact customers directly via e-mail about any products they have on preorder to keep everyone more directly informed. We always encourage our customers to visit darkregions.com/production to check the latest updates, but will also now begin contacting customers directly with these updates. Again: we greatly appreciate your feedback and will keep working to fix our mistakes and improve our business.
While there were certainly delays, there were also great results. This year we delivered Joshua Hoffine Horror Photography Book, Burnt Black Suns Deluxe Special Edition by Simon Strantzas and Bird Box Special Edition by Josh Malerman numbered edition to our customers among others, and everyone was delighted with how these books turned out. Indeed, we consider these books some of the finest Dark Regions Press publications to date. Our mission is to continue to produce some of the highest quality specialty publications in the industry in 2019 and look forward to shipping more books to you soon like The Wide, Carnivorous Sky Deluxe Special Edition by John Langan, Richard Laymon's Funland Special Definitive Edition, Bird Box Special Edition Deluxe Hardcover, I AM THE ABYSS, Dreams from the Witch House Deluxe Hardcover and more.
The year of 2019 has some very exciting new projects coming from Dark Regions Press. These include Writing as Life by William F. Nolan, Prisoner of Violence by Joe R. Lansdale and Keith Lansdale, Christmas Horror Volume 3, Pirates of the Old World, a yet-to-be-announced project edited by yours truly, Black Labyrinth Anthology I : Possession and much more. If you were pleased with how the DRP books turned out that you received in 2018, just wait until 2019: we have such sights to show you.
Thank you again to all Dark Regions Press customers for your continued patience, support and enthusiasm. We know that some of our products have been taking far too long to get into the hands of our customers, and this is an issue we're actively working to fix for the new year. Most importantly, know that we are working hard to produce these publications in excellent form like our recent deliveries of the photo book and Bird Box.
I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and New Year with family and friends. If you ever want to contact me directly you can find me on Facebook.
